What is the AWS Ambassador Program?
The AWS Ambassador Program is a prestigious recognition by Amazon Web Services for outstanding professionals within the AWS Partner Network (APN). AWS Ambassadors are influential technical leaders who drive their organization’s AWS proficiency while actively sharing their expertise with the broader community.
To be selected, candidates must:
- Be an employee of an AWS Partner organization
- Hold multiple active AWS Certifications
- Demonstrate thought leadership through blogs, presentations, open-source contributions, and community engagement
- Be nominated by AWS partner leadership
With around 250 AWS Ambassadors worldwide, the selection is highly competitive. Ambassadors represent the top technical talent across AWS Partners globally, spanning regions from North America and Europe to Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

Teemu serves as Cloud Architect and AWS Alliance Lead at NordHero, where he helps organizations successfully adopt and scale cloud technology, building secure and future-ready architectures. Security has long been a cornerstone of his work, and more recently Teemu has been at the forefront of generative AI adoption - guiding NordHero’s customers through the practical application of AWS’s latest AI innovations. With 13 AWS certifications under his belt, he has been a driving force behind NordHero’s cloud practice.

What does being selected as an AWS Ambassador mean to you personally?
It’s a validation of years of dedication to the AWS ecosystem, and it genuinely means a great deal to me. I’ve invested heavily in building deep, hands-on expertise across AWS - from security and infrastructure to the newest generative AI capabilities. Being recognized at this level by AWS is humbling. But beyond the personal milestone, what excites me most is the community: a global network of technical leaders who share the same drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cloud computing.
How do you plan to leverage this role to benefit NordHero’s customers and the broader AWS community?
The Ambassador role gives me a closer connection to AWS’s direction and a platform to share practical knowledge more broadly - through community events, content, and customer engagements. For NordHero’s customers, that means access to cutting-edge insights and best practices early on. For the broader community, I plan to contribute through blog posts, presentations, and open-source work - particularly around cloud security and generative AI on AWS. If I can help one team navigate a challenge I’ve already worked through, that’s exactly the kind of contribution I want to make.
